On Google Chrome, switching the language will make all the
menus, toolbars, and other interface elements appear in the new language. If a
website is available in more than one language, Chrome will choose the right
version for your chosen language by default. If not, Chrome can offer to
translate the page into your language. Let's check this out.
Change your language settings:
Changing the language used in Chrome only takes a few steps,
and while the process may seem intimidating, the operation is easy enough for
beginners to perform.
Step one: At the bottom right, select the time.
Step two: Select Settings Settings and
then Advanced.
Step three: In the "Languages and
input" section, select Language.
Step four: Find the language you want to use.
Step five: Optional: If you don't see the
language you want, click Add languages. Choose the language you want, and then
select Add.
Step six: Next to the language you want, select
More > More. Choose how you want to use this language:
- Show menus in this language: Select Display Chrome OS in this language, then select Restart. The next time you sign in, menus will show in the language you chose.
- Show web pages in this language: Select Move to the top to move the language to the top of the list. If you'd like Google Chrome to automatically translate webpage’s, click Offer to translate pages in this language.
Remove a language:
Step one: At the bottom right, select the time.
Step two: Select Settings Settings and then Advanced.
Step three: In the "Languages and input" section, select Language.
Step four: Next to the language you want to remove, select More More and then Remove.
Step two: Select Settings Settings and then Advanced.
Step three: In the "Languages and input" section, select Language.
Step four: Next to the language you want to remove, select More More and then Remove.
Once you're done with your changes, you can close the
Settings tab on your browser or exit Chrome. The changes will save and update
automatically.
